My condolence. Those of us that have lost our mothers fully understand what you're going through. No one can totally take away the pain of your loss at this time. The pain eases with time, but the memories of her will follow you throughout your life. After a while those memories will console you rather than cause the grief you're suffering now. As I think of my mother, I truly believe we'll meet again. In a much more friendly world.
My heart goes out to you.

Charles you wrote a beautiful eulogy for your mother. It sounds like her work was done and she did a good job with her family and it was time for her to go to heaven. Don

Charles:

What a wonderful testament to a Mom. It is clearly certain that not only was your Mom the greatest person in the world to you, your brothers and sisters, she was also one of the most loved. That was beautifully expressed in your Ode to Your Mom.

My family and my condolences to you and yours in this time of sadness and tears, but remember your Mom is with Jesus, and in the House of Our Father. This was just a new door opening onto another journey that she is to take.

As my better half always says,

"When God closes a door, He always opens a window"

I hope this offers some comfort.. it has for me for many years...

The Lord bless you and keep you!
The Lord make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
The Lord lift His countenance upon you, and give you (+)peace.

Numbers 6:22-26
Amen, Amen, Amen

Charles: Your tribute to Mom was magnificent - I'm sure she'd be proud of it as I'm sure she was of you. Last week was the 10th anniversary of my Mom's death and it truly seems like yesterday. As has been stated, the pain goes away, but life's lessons remain - you've obviously learned them well. Peace amd know that she's in a better place. Craig

Charles, sorry to hear of you and your family's loss. I lost my dad in late 1999 and since then I have learned to try and be with my mother as much as I can now. I know the day will come and I will be in your shoes.
Your mother sounds like she was a good woman and did right by you. Rest assured she will always be in your heart.
