Sunday Ride

Postby Barnyard » Sun Jul 18, 2021 6:55 pm

Rosanne and I decided to take a little Sunday drive. We stopped for a little bit at the Legion and then headed home. No more than three beers when I'm out with this. It was hot at red lights with no a/c. I think the Diet Pepsi can is pretty close to being period correct, the cup holder is. New top should be on in about a month. Seats will be upholstered this winter.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

When was the last Sunday drive in it, Bill? Probably a lot longer than you want to think about! Good to see it back on the road!

Steve, I got it back last week. I could have done most the simple stuff myself, but figured I would let Frank do it while he was checking out other issues with it. Besides, if I did it the car would still be sitting. Frank used this as a fill in job and worked on it when ever he had a little free time. The cost came in about a third of what I was expecting so I am happy about that.

Gary, I still have a plate from 2006 that was never installed, in fact the sticker was never put on the plate. I know we drove it after we moved into the new house so that had to be '04 or '05.

There are a lot of other issues that I will handle as time goes on. First thing is getting a new top. That should happen in a couple of weeks.
