Johnny - I'm sure the doctors are capable of treating your brother. Just have faith.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your brother and all of your family.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Johnny, your brother has our prayers. I had my gaul bladder removed several years ago (not due to stones, but it stopped functioning). Only bad side effect was I can no longer eat fatty foods). Good side effects, no more pain, and it was severe.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
you are part of the problem!!!

Johnny,
I do hear what you are saying. All hospitals, and all doctors are not created equal. A messed-up gaul bladder surgery, while rare, is very dangerous. In the event of complications, don't mess around, get him to Mass General in Boston. They have saved many "hack job" gaul bladders from this area over the years.
We will light incense for him this night.
All our best,
Tom and Tina

Thanks for everything, he has to stay the night, and maybe/probably stay tomorrow night also.
I hope that he also gets well, it's kinda weird seeing that he's only 18 1/2...
Thanks again, Johnny

thanks for your support, he came home today around 2 o'clock I think that he has to go back and have surgery, but i don't know, he can't eat anything with substace, fats, for at least a week-3 weeks, I had to go without food for 10 days straight, only liquid/yogurt etc, and that still hurt...
Thanks again, will update more when he's in a better mood

Johnny,
I'm not sure if your parents are understanding everything the doctors are telling them correctly, or if something really strange went on.
Who is your brother's family doctor? Is he an internal medicine specialist or just an MD or DO? He needs to be evaluated by an internist right away, and referred to to appropriate specialist. If someone's heart stops, there is a reason, and it must be dealt with. When the body stops growing (around your brother's age), there are a host of problems that can reveal themselves. None of which should be ignored. There are several "milestone" ages in human development and aging during which problems usually manifest. I'm sure if you think about it, you realize that.
Unfortunately, the philosophy of most hospitals in regards to patients admitted through the ER is "stabilize and release". The concept of finding out what is actually wrong is no longer a priority.
Talk to your parents and your brother. If they are not entirely sure what happened, and are not comfortable with the outcome, it is imperative that you convince them to take your brother to an internist immediately.
