Christmas lights

Postby Shane Nelson » Mon Nov 27, 2017 12:00 pm

My wife gets so excited about the birth of our Lord and Savior, I do as well. As everyone knows a happy wife is a happy life. She mentioned yesterday when are you gonna start outside with lights etc.? (Our Christmas tree has been up since November 2nd). We got home from church and put the kids down for a nap and I went outside and dug the Schramm out of the shed and the smile on her face was worth it. We got most of the lights on it yesterday. Our 5 year old son ask last night "why didn't you do the steering wheel"? He doesn't miss many details. I got to hang the ice sickle lights from the gutters on the house and do the steering wheel and muffler now. The past few years we have been taping strands of lights across the hood and on the sides. Yesterday we bought some net lights 4' X 6' for bushes and put them on the hood. Looks good going by @45 MPH

My wife and I enjoy decorating for Christmas as well. We did a Cub one year.

I'm just over 17.000 lights for the year. I hope to get to 30,000 by the 15th.

Bill now that all or most of the Christmas decorations are up you can find some new CUBS and put then in the BOB.

I know it's a little past Christmas, but I just noticed this post. I didn't take pictures myself this year but here's a link to a video that a new friend took with his drone. He does narrate so have your sound on. The flashing trees are set to music, but it doesn't come through on the video. There are about 21000 lights this year.
