Christmas Gift List

Postby Eugene » Mon Dec 08, 2014 12:51 pm

Box of chocolates and a Christmas card for the wife. Because, I don't know what else to get her. What else could she need? She has money in the bank, everything is fully paid for, and she has me.

Anticipation. I usually get socks, underwear, jeans, and work shirts for Christmas. I have draws full of clothing items - so unknown. Guess I will be surprised.

Thinking I should take the wife out for dinner on Christmas.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Principle: You have more than one hammer, more then one wrench, more than one Cub.

Suggestion: If she likes to wear necklaces, buy her another necklace; if bracelets, another bracelet; if sweaters, another sweater.

Point being: Another of anything she already has doesn't mean an accumulation of stuff, but a thoughtful decision (by you) to show her how much she's loved by giving her things she likes.

BTW: a dinner out is always a good thing. :)

My wife asked me the other day if there was a list of stuff she could get me. I said nope, and then she ask about toy tractors or any tractor parts or new tools she could order for me. That got me thinking so I circled all the toys in the Outback toy catalog. We'll see what shows up I guess.

3 yrs together now and she is getting smarter?

As for her, she likes jewelry, so I have her leave a want list at the store and I go pick out something. Not to hard.

My wife buys all the Christmas gifts for our family / grandchildren / friends etc and even for herself, because I take the easy way out --- I just give her money   then she can buy herself what she wants / likes.

Wife put out the Christmas decorations today. Since we are long time empty nesters, not a lot of decorations.

But the wife did it right, two Farmall Cub ornaments on the small Christmas tree.
