Push fit copper fittings

Postby Jackman » Sun Oct 05, 2014 9:24 am

Anyone use push fit copper fittings :?: , how are they for 3/4 heating copper? Just bought some Pro Line 3/4 push fits, Think these should work, I have a new zone to make and the house is old and scary dry don't want to use the torch...

Never used the push fit copper fittings.

PEX. Visiting daughter in Iowa. Copper tubing behind the furnace, through a wall and overhead of the water heater, developed a pin hole leak. About a 12 foot run. Plumbing tools in Missouri. Called in the plumber. Took about 30 minutes to remove the old copper pipe, snake in the PEX tubing with fittings and assemble.
I have an excuse. CRS.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I use shark bite connectors and have for years inside walls, attics etc. I use them on copper, PEX and PVC.

Some of my fittings are Shark Bite, as well. They push connect to the copper tube, on one end and push connect to the Pex on the other end. Works great!

Done yay :D , used Pro Line and Blue Hawk push fittings amazed how easy they are to install and no leaks, if the push fits weren't so pricey I'd use them over sweats but to keep the cost low I only used them where the torch might set the floor joist on fire . thanks for the help fellas 8)

My son repaired a pin hole leak by using the sharks tooth setup it works.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.
