First Frozen Precipitation of the Season

Postby Don McCombs » Sat Oct 04, 2014 4:15 pm

Got a little sleet and snow flurries this afternoon. Too soon for me. Hope it's not a sign of things to come.

Light frost on neighbors roof this morning. Also a light frost about 2 weeks ago. Not wide spread frost, just spotty. Central Missouri, Ozarks.

Still have some water melon on the vine, bell peppers, beets, radish, onions in the garden. Hoping to get another month without a hard freeze.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Oglebayfest, an anual fall festival at Oglebay Park in Wheeling, WV, and a tradition for us, was brutal today. We were pelted with ice a few times. Last year we were in shorts and tee-shirts. Somewhere in between would be nice! It was still a good time.
