Rex '48 So Far Away

This is the pinings of a Cub Restoration fanatic 152 miles removed from the Cub, but not from the FarmallCub Forum. Yup, I'm down in NJ again. Ol'Rex'48 awaits his engine. All it takes is time at home away from the day job and oh, by the way money to do the engine right.

Many of you have noted my estranged absence from this website - Rest assured I'll make my prescence known again when Cecil gets back from Florida, the temperature in my shop improves and I'm at home more than I am on the road working to be less than Cub poor.

All the best from RT 17N, Marriott Coutyard, Paramus, NJ - Ken

Yeah I missed your posts on 48 Rex. I have been following your restoration with great interest, as I have a 48 Cub myself (first one) never had a Cub before. You are doing fantastic high quality work on your cub. And I wish your dad continued good health to assist you. I intend to visit a cub fest in Albany in the latter part of 2014 during my first visit to USA if I am granted the good health to do so. Watching out for your posts in future. Keep rummaging in the magic barn :) :)
Bernard,
Donegal Cub.

Bernard,

I'm anxious to meet you at Cecil's. I trust that many others are as well. You might even get to see Rex '48 in person. Take a lot of pictures, make a lot of notes and you can then plan to host the first annual Irish CubFest. :) :)

Bernard, when will you arrive in the states? There is another Cubfest toward the end of September in Indiana with other members who won't make it to Cecil's, as well as Cubarama in Missouri the last weekend of September. Bob McCarty also has his CubFest in Colorado in early September (a good time to go see the Grand Canyon). If you can make one or two of those and end your stay at Cecil's I'd say will have met a good number of our membership.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.
