14.8 degrees here.

Postby Harold R » Wed Jan 29, 2014 8:46 am

Woke up to 14.8 degrees this morning. Coldest I can ever remember. Not record setting though. I'm a little nervous to got out to the tractor shed. Hope I don't find a smiling bolster. :coffee:

We've got 2 degrees here in the southwestern tip of Virginia this morning. I'm glad my ol' cub has good antifreeze.

I sure hope nobody finds a cracked bolster. That would be heartbreaking.

Check the head, too. Sometimes they crack, on top (Not easy to see, up there, but, when it thaws, you'll know it!) I have several with brazed heads, from PO freezes.

Did Billy Ray arrange for that? It's 41 down here. Not sunny, though. The rest of the week looks good, however.

23 degrees in South Louisiana . Little snow and enough ice to have many roads and businesses closed. We are not set up for this kind of weather.

Ole Billy Ray has got us right where he wants us , begging for any kind of dry weather at least 40 degrees. Anything better than that and he will be a hero.

16 here this morning. We've had a few nights like that this winter. Not the coldest temp I've seen, but definitely the most number of days I've seen this cold in one winter
