Old Farmers Almanac saying;
“See how high the hornet's nest, 'twill tell how high the snow will rest”
That's a twelve foot 4x4 leaning against the tree. I figure it's about 30 feet up.

For those older folks (John *.?-!.* cub owner) who may have a hard time picking it out, even with the arrows....... Those hickory nuts above and to the right are about the size of tennis balls by the way.

$75-. Had I known. Couple years ago I got nailed by a couple of hornets. Looking around there was a huge nest under the eves of the hay barn. Hornet spray and then knocked down the nest, stomped it good - just getting even.

I will need to get some 35mm film, my digital will not let me get far enough away to be comfortable with this project.

When it turns cold, get your 22 rifle and shoot(cut) the limb off about a foot on each side. Problem solved.

We ride the river in winter, they are easier to see when there is no leaves, and get them.

Rabbit Holler Flash's home is just a few yards from that, and I was thinking that if I slipped just up the hill behind his house in the truck and waited till he came out the door and then put a round or two into the nest by shooting right over him. it ought to be fun to watch. :lol:

Several years ago I drove 120 miles to the Cub Tug and decided to put my awning out. After looking up I changed my mind. This thing rode all the way with us at 70 miles an hour and there were still residents at home when we arrived.
