I have seen several discussions about that on some of the other sites. They had a long bolt in one of the transmission cover bolt holes that prevented shifting into 5th. Some of the owners reported theirs did not have any teeth on the 5th gear also, they appeared to have been machined off before assembly.Gary Dotson wrote:That's my understanding as well, Scrivet, 5th gear was there but was locked out.
