Jack:

Thanks for the chuckles. That sounded so much like my MOM :!: I love her dearly, and she used come out will kinds of similar witicisms when I was growning up. I used to wonder if they were true or if she made em up as she went along. She really has a very British sense of humour especially for a French Canadian with not Brit in her at all.

I had a lot of chances the last 4 days to be thinkin on this as Mother's Day approached. My Mom is 70 and has raised 6 kids, they all grew up with their heads screwed on right - well almost all of them. I sometimes wonder about me.

Late Thursday night we got a call from my youngest brother Ron, my Mom had just been taken from her apartment by ambulance with chest pains and difficulty breathing. That was scary as I know the feelings all too well. Seems she had an angina event at home. A couple hours later she had her first heart attack.

She is currently in ICU, they are still trying to stabilize her and it has been 3 days. She is being transferred to the Ottawa Civic Heart Institute as soon as she is somewhat stable. I guess Em and I will be leaving for Ottawa Friday or Saturday.

This all depends on my health, which to say the least has been up and down for the past month, but we just may have to go anyways. I missed talking to her tonight as I spent most of the evening in bed myself, but the nurses say she is resting comfortable.

We are praying all will be well and that the angiogram will be done sooner thna later this week.

Thanks again for the chuckle... I needed that

God bless you and your mom Rudi. I will add her to our prayer list. I need to know her name but in the mean time we will pray for her as Rudi's mom.

Bill:

Her name is Doris.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, it is appreciated. I will try to be around as much as possible, but we are just awaiting clearance from my Docs to be able to head up to Ottawa. As soon as I am cleared to travel and we know what is happening, off we shall be. Well at least that is the plan.
