Either way i'm stocked up on food, water, gas for the generator and chainsaws. I'm ready anyway for 12-21-2012. So many different predictions i'm fearing the worst anyway. Godbless and batten down the hatches. BigBill

BTW; I figure it will cost $150 to fill all my gas cans and put a few gallons of gas in my jeep too.

BigBill, The Mayan's did not predict any apocalypse for 2012. Their calendar runs in cycles and this is the year that the cycle starts over. This will be like all of the predictions for Y2K, nothing will happen and it will just be another ordinary day.

10-4 to what Bob McCarty said. But some extra gas, a generator and chain saw is normally a good idea with the possibility of storms. I need to purchase a new generator to replace my old one that went "pop".

While winterizing the last couple days I found 12 gallon of treated gas for the generator that I didn't know I had.
Yes, I did do the happy dance..... :{_}:
Everything's under cover here now so let it snow.
I really don't expect much to happen on our side of the Blue Ridge.

I have no fear I purchased plenty of scotty's dad(Ed's) fresh ground corn meal. My hobart welder started right up since the snowfall last october. That says something about using seafoam in the gas. I fixed a broken fitting on my jeep tractors 4 way plow. We done everything we can to prepare.

I been hearing two feet of snow so far??? With 6" to 10" of rain expected 10" of rain equals 1' of snow. I hope we get none.

As far as 12-21-2012 goes i pray our creator comes back for a visit to straighten this mixed up world we live in. Thats the only thing that could save our planet. Godbless, stay safe, Bigbill

All I see is wind and rain for us here, rather that than snow. Chain saws, tractors generator all set to go. Not to mention a good size pile of wood too. Bring on whatever.

I understand water was up on lawns this morning in coastal CT in some of the more flood-prone areas. They say Long Island Sound will have a huge surge and multiple tides and they are talking about 11-15 feet with waves on top of that. It that holds, it will be the worst since '38 when houses floated away from the Rhode Island beaches after water reached 3rd story attics.

I'm set to hibernate, if necessary. Have gas, generator, chain saw, and tractors, ready. I wonder how soon the people on the news, buying generators at Home Depot, will realize that they need a special plug, and heavy cord, to get full use of their new toy? Ed

Not too many Ed. We are in the process of doing exactly that - my electrician is due here tomorrow morning to do our bathroom and the generator panel and connections. We should be all ready for Sandy by Tuesday. Everything else is ready to go - fuel, chainsaw, Ellie is running like a top so that is all good. Don't care if it is rain or snow... we is ready :D Nothing like a good ole nor'easter.

Ed everybody was sold out of generators around here early Friday morning. Home depot was promissing a shipment yesterday, I have the panel but the electrician did not make it here. Not a problem at all I can make due.
