Hard Work's Reward!...A couple photos added
I came home from work today to find this in my front yard.
Too many conflicting things and the weather have kept me from going all out as in past years, but I work on the lights as I can. We took 1st place two years ago and the rules do not allow you to repeat so we get an honorable mention every year. I guess I better go put more up to keep up my reputation.
The following pictures are from last year but everything will be the same this year. I have had a little trouble getting night shots (where's Camo when you need him?)
This is the end of the barn facing the road.
And the front of the house.
I still have the driveway, a bunch of trees and a zillion candy canes to do if the weather let's me. I had planned to do a lot of this Saturday morning in time for the township tree ceremony Saturday night across the road at the fire house. But, one of the township trustees called tonight and asked if I could help with traffic for the Saturday morning 5K run during the annual Christmas Walk (walk/run, boy these government types sure keep ya confused. I wanted to turn him down, but my sense of duty wouldn't let me

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I have about 17,000 lights so far. Hopefully I will get at least 10,000 more this week end. Far short of my goal but there's always next year. I stop about ten days before Christmas and then it is almost time to reverse the process.
That star on the barn alone is eight feet tall and each strand coming from it is about 16 feet. You can see it far down the road.

No electric yet. We have a generator on my wife's exercise bike. Kind of like Gilligan's Island. She gets a heck of a work out.
Jeff Silvey wrote:Do you have stock in the eletric company
No, and they don't even send a Christmas card!
Scotty D wrote:barnyard im surprised you dont have a cub or six decorated with lights
I thought about it but I am so busy with everything else I didn't know where to go with it. Probably next year by the barn.
