A Two-Ply Thief

Postby VinceD » Wed Jun 13, 2007 6:28 pm

Apparently nothing gets past law enforcement in Iowa.

Our local paper, the West Plains Daily Quill reported an AP story about a lady named Suzanne Butts who was arrested for stealing toilet paper from a central Iowa courthouse. She is facing prison time for the theft. (Thank goodness she didn't steal a Cub :!: )

You folks in Iowa don't cut much slack :!:

One can only hope that with the arrest the case is all wiped up.

The more I think about it, something just doesn’t smell right about this. :x

Just thought I would pass it along.

No one could have concocted such a story. :D :!: :D :!: :D :!:

Nope, not too busy. It was just a nice quiet day and a good day to read the paper and flush out a few good stories.

Judge shouldn't be to hard on her, she was just trying to clean up her act.
Or maybe she was just trying to keep her s*** together!

We are making light of this, but if it is the news story I saw, she stole several dollars worth, not just a role or two. My biggest question, is that considering the quality TP most counties buy, why would anyone buy it?

The story I read said it was 3 rolls. The catch is she has priors and is considered a habitual offender.

So every news outlet has a different story and they are probably all wrong.

The one I was referring to happened 2 or 3 months ago, so it was probably a different story.
