The next time I decide to grease the woods 59 I will clean off the clippings and wash it first--this would have been a good idea since I recently mowed the roadway where there is POISON IVY.

Check your local pharmacy for a product called ivy dry. They have more than one kind, but the clear liquid works best for me, and believe me, I am a veteran of the poison ivy wars.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

I have used, in the past, naptha laundry soap in bar form. I had a real bad case of Poison Ivy years ago, and the company nurse told me to try that. It worked very well. The naptha is a good solvent for the oil, and the soap washes it away. The oil is what we are reacting to. I just lathered up really good in the shower, scrubbed a bit, and rinsed. This last time I got the itches, it seemed less trouble to ignore it than try to find the soap in the store. It's in the laundry detergent section, logically. I have had some success with calamine lotion, but the relief doesn't last too long, for me anyway.
My friend used Ivy Dry with pretty good results. Guess it's a matter of personal chemistry... :?
