Looks like the recoil needs a little work
I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

The last guy did a pretty good job of shouldering it...until his friend slapped him there. :?

I used to do a lot of target shooting, and was also a certified rifle instructor. the last guy was the only one that was holding and shouldering it properly for a large caliber rifle. That being said, it does need more mass to compensate for the recoil.

P.S. There is no way I would fire that thing.

I want one 8) . yall are right. That last guy wasnt bad. The rest should've expected trouble with how they held and shouldered it.

I received this link in an e-mail a few days ago. It’s a WW2 era Lahti 20mm anti-tank rifle…

Notice there are 2 different rifles, one is a Ruger no. 1. Think I'll order one for my next prairie dog shoot!

deputyjailer90's gun reminds me of a shotgun I saw on the wall of the Yuma Territorial Prison we visited many years ago. It was a 4-ga., four barrel riot shotgun that you could drop a silver dollar down without touching the inside of the barrel and had a little placard underneath it with a story about how it was used only once. Apparently a prisoner was scaling the walls trying to escape so in a panic a guard grabbed the shotgun and let loose of all four barrels at the same time. They didn't say what happened to the prisoner but the guard had to have his arm amputated afterwards.

Whoever decided to shoot a .50+ cal. rifle offhand needs to get their head checked. It's not like its a blackpowder, I mean look at the size of the casing the last guy ejected. Seems to me that letting a rifle go flying through the air is a BAD IDEA just in general. Then again, the biggest thing I've shot is a 12 ga. or a 7mm, so I can't really talk I spose.

Good thing it didn't have a scope on it. There would be some serious eye damage.
I'm so far behind I think I'm in first place.
