Cubbers along I-80

Postby LiL' Red » Mon Feb 19, 2007 3:56 pm

Just got home from a furniture hauling adventure to Alliance Nebraska. As I was driving West going through Iowa and Nebraska I had a thought. Wonder if any Forum members live along I-80?
Trust me, that wasn't my only thought, road conditions were BADD! Left home at 10:30 A:M Friday got to Alliance at 5:30 Sat morning. Just shy of 800 miles. MPH and MPG were terrible!

if you go that way again get on the YTMag site and go to the tractot tales board. ask for Sloroll He manages an airport off of I80 in Iowa. Great guy who likes company and always has a nice toybox going. Varies from time to time as to what antique tractors are there in what stages

The short answer is yes.
When near Lincoln look up the tractor test lab museum. Get off the exit for 27th street of Lincoln NE. Go south to Cornhusker. Go east to 33rd Street. Go south on 33rd. You will be going along the east campus of University of NE Lincoln (look fo signs for further directions). You will be taking a road to the east. Lots of old tractors. No cubs. An A. Nice exhibit of carburators as well.

When traveling on I80 watch out for drug haulers, people haulers, epecially at the rest stops.

When you head east you will come across my habitat too. I'm about 12 miles south of 80/90, which is about what it takes to get away from the noise and the political controversy. Our state CEO (who is using the governor's office) leased that portion of the toll road for 75 years.

John. No, I haven't seen it ......... I'll look next time I go past exit 241. They have a PennDot area there. (BTW. They're doing construction over the bridge that crosses the Susquehanna river there. Occasionally gets kinda slow!)
