I have a piece of slate that came out of an old school. I don't have the room for that big of piece. I was just wandering how I can cut a piece off without breaking the slate. Is there any web sites?

Jeff - a masonary blade or diamond blade in a circular saw will do it. Cut it wet.

Jeff,

Use an abrasive (masonry) blade in a skill saw. A straight edge clamped as a guide will help keep it straight. Slate doesn't cut hard.

If you break it come over... I have some extra.

Well:
I cut the slate,one way the slate chipped, the other way it cut nice. Could it be because I used water on one cut the other one I didn't. Chipping not bad.
