Topsy Turvy And Upside Down

Postby Merlin » Wed Jul 12, 2006 6:56 am

First and foremost, thanks for all your prayers at a time in my life that I really need them. It started with my little dog getting a liver problem and going into the animal hospital for 5 days. Before he got out my wife got worse and had to go in. Then I got down and had to go in. I spent 3 days doing test and in the end they agreed it was congestive heart failure and I need another angiogram to determine the extent and plan of what can be done. My Cardiologist was out of town and I talked them out of the angiogram until he returned so I could spend some time with my wife. There is an easy chair in her room that lays back like a bed and I was free to come home to shower and change clothes. They said to stay in the prone position until after the angiogram, but I have to walk to the car and back. It looks as if my wife will be in the hospital for a few more weeks and I can't put it off any longer, so I will be going back in this afternoon to start over tomorrow morning. It won't be difficult checking in because I will already be there with my wife.
Since I've been sick I have had some help on my Cub, but the last thing I need is a rear light bracket. If anyone has an extra one laying around and would consider selling it, you can PM me and I will check the messages when I get out of the hospital. I had one but can't find it.
Again, thanks for your thoughts, prayers, and support.

Merlin,

Thanks for the update and take care. You and your wife are in our thoughts and prayers. We also hope your little friend is doing well, too.

If it is the bracket that gets welded to the box I have one and if you need the extension with the post on it, I think I have an extra one as well.

It is yours, just send me your address.. it is the least I can do..

Please.. do as the docs say.. CHF is not something to be messed with as you well know. God Speed and HIS Blessings on your and your wife, and I pray that the Angiogram provides news that stents at the worst are what is needed.

You and your family are in our prayes. Be well, get well, and let us know how it goes..

I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

Merlin I wondered about your wife because I remembered her coming back home not too long ago. She was still in our prayers. You are too.

a little prayer

Postby FarmLadyWannaB » Wed Jul 12, 2006 6:33 pm

Lord, strengthen your servants Merlin and his wife, to do what they have to do and bear what they have to bear. Be present with them in your goodness and power, that their weakness may be banished and they may be restored to usefulness in your world with a thankful heart. Amen.

When you're laid up, this little morning prayer can be comforting:

"This is another day, O Lord. I know not what it will bring forth, but make me ready, Lord, for whatever it may be. If I am to stand up, help me to stand bravely. If I am to sit still, help me to sit quietly. If I am to lie low, help me to do it patiently. And if I am to do nothing, let me do it gallantly. Make these words more than words, and fill me with your Spirit. Amen."
