Heres my smelly (skunked) dogs. They were to be groomed this week, but the groomer said, NO, they stink too bad. So they are staying outside for awhile.

My wife is a vet tech and this formula will work.

1/4 cub baking soda
1 teaspoon liquid soap (grease remover kind like dawn)
1 quart hydrogen peroxide

Make 4 times this amount for the two dogs.

Do not wet dog prior to applying. Water will spread the oil of the skunk.
Apply evenly to coat dog scrub into the fur. Leave on for as long as the dog will tolarate (1/2 hour if you can) then rinse well.

We have had to do this to our dog once  and it really does work very well!

We had dogs skunked and forund that tomatoe juice worked. Just get enough and give the dog a bath in it.

Bill i have used tomato juice in the past and that does work, but with the long hair of these dogs (basically a wool) its next to impossible :( to get out. best to just let em air out.

Videodoc,

My brother in law has a samyoed that had been skunked and the formula that I gave you will work on them as well.

Of course that is if you want to get near them :D with the smell.
