How long is a Day

Postby cowboy » Sat Feb 11, 2006 9:01 am

I told my Aunt that I did not care to wake up early on a sunday to go to a 8hr Hasmat class.

This is her replie

As for "8 hour class on a sunday".... 24/7, there's the exact same amount of time in each. What's done with any particular block of hours on whatever name-of-day is what matters. In other words, TIME means NOTHING = it's only DEFINED by EVENTS. None of us really remembers a particular space-in-time unless there's an event attached to it....... think about that bit of trivia. It could be a good line to share with your Cub page friends.

I share a lot of things from this site with my family and friends from this site. And am always talking and braging about all my great freinds here :!:

Billy - It looks like your Aunt has a good perspective on things. And she is correct. The things I remember from the past are events not times. In fact, the most difficult thing for me is remembering when things happened. Unless of course it is something like my wedding anniversary.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Billy:

You Aunt is wise beyond her years.... very well said :!: :D

We all would do well to take that advice to heart and remember it... as life gets too busy, we tend to forget that sentiment...

And yeah, they sound VERY 8) 8)
