Lots of people like roosters or a running horse. I decided to get a hummingbird weathervane. Kind of small but I like it.

When the wind blows real hard does the bird flap its wings real fast or make a hummm sound?

I’m not sure because I didn’t buy the optional binoculars. This is a Good Directions brand weathervane that had a rooster on it. It’s on top of my house in Wisconsin and it’s pretty windy there. I came there one spring and the roosters tail was laying on the ground. I took it off and soldered it back together but it threw off the weight distribution and soon it was back on the ground again. I put it up originally but I’ve never liked heights so I’ve never replaced it.
You don’t think of a hummingbird perching on a high open perch but I saw one up there multiple times. By the way, did you know that, although it’s rare, a praying mantis can kill a hummingbird?
