Took me several tries to load a Youtube video here and the actual video show up in the thread. Here's how to do it.
Go to full editor & preview. Click on youtube and this shows up [youtube][/youtube] go to the video you want to share and click on share then copy the link. It will look like this https://youtu.be/RXD4gQN0py0
When you insert the whole link in between the [youtube] brackets it won't show the video here, you have to drop the http://youtu.be/ so it looks like this [youtube]RXD4gQN0py0XXX[youtube] I added "XXX" on the end so it won't play but here's what you wind up with in your thread.

If you want to show an example of how to do any of the magic incantations and not have them actually do their thing, click on "Code" while the magic incantation is highlighted. It will look like this in your edit:
and like this when displayed:
Doing it this way, keeps it from (in this case) going to youtube and looking for an invalid video ID.
