A few years back I read an article in a Lebanon, Missouri newspaper (front page) about a man on his way back to St.Louis decided to rob an 84 year old lady who lived in the city of Lebanon. While breaking through her front door she filled it full of .45 caliper holes. He made it back to St.Louis and was found in a hospital on his death bed.

The St.Louis Post-Dispatch had an article on page eight stating a St.Louis city resident was shot in a Missouri rural town after his car ran out of gas and was knocking on doors asking for gas or money.
The question I like to ask, if the car was out of gas how did it make it back to St.Louis which was a three hour drive? Of course the St.Louis paper did not get into that subject.

The thing that I can not understand in the current riots is that the cars that they are torching are those cars of their own in their own area, their own housing estate, tower block or... Noëlle tells me that she has heard of one torch that was the "child's" own parents car.

Well in my opinion, if someone is destroying their own property they must have never worked or paid for it to begin with.

I just can’t understand people whom if they don’t get what they want, they throw a temper tamper and destroy everything in site. Who sympathizes with them, the politically correct government? Who pays for all the damage, the tax payer who works hard and pays for their own worldly possessions? Why can’t people be accountable for what they do instead of the government paying billons of dollars supposedly making it better for the misunderstood people?
I think a lot of problems can be resolved just by setting down and talking out issues. I personally think all problems have a solution(s) if people would have an open mind. The alterative for not finding a solution is wars, roits and ECT. Who pays for that, yap the people who works and pays for their worldly possessions, the tax payer? Why is the minority always telling the majority who pays for everything what to do?
I know this all sounds very simplistic, but things are going to have to
change or this world is going to be like everyday life in Israeli.

This is funny and I know the world community in general thinks this way but----

Maybe the government will hide, the people will fight. Just ask any WWII veteran who had dealings with the French underground.


Finally in GB we've gone from "pretend nothing's happening" to "make
another cup of tea". Our higher levels are "remain resolutely cheerful" and
"win".

Have you ever fought beside an British Commando? I have and they are one of the toughest fighters in the world, but only after tea!!!

Below are pictures of the French people celebrating their Liberation 60 years later. The soldiers you see are French civilians dressed like American WWII soldiers. Notice the left /middle corner you will see real US Army soldiers of the 29th Division marching through a French town with people cheering.
Also notice the US and British Flags on the side of the buildings.

The Provda article is a short description of the background - cause for the riots in France. Of particular interest is the paragraph indicating that the riots had been planned sometime in advance of the death of the two Muslim youths.

The riots have been a topic of discussion on late night talk shows with several "experts" providing analysis. One of the "experts" indicated that France was targeted for the riots because of the French government’s tendency to appeasement rather than direct hard line confrontation.

Another analysist indicated that the lack of press coverage in the US was due to the US media's Leftist leanings and did not want to disclose the failures of a Socialist government's policy.

My opinions. There is more to the French riots than disenfranchised youths. I'm suspicious in nature - things just don't seem right. Couple of points. The riots have been coordinated via the internet and telephone. 2/3ds of the people arrested are not youths.

Nothing in the US media on the situation in France. BBC world news - on line. 11-23-05.

"Police said 98 vehicles were torched on Wednesday night, marking a "return to a normal situation everywhere in France".

A state of emergency remains in force after parliament voted on Wednesday to extend it for three months.

Almost 9,000 cars have been set ablaze and about 3,000 people have been arrested since the violence erupted.

Curfew lifted

The police service said the figure of 98 cars burnt was in line with the nightly average before the trouble began on 27 October. "
