Price of Gasoline

Postby Dan England » Sat Oct 22, 2005 8:01 pm

Yesterday morning I purchased gasoline at the Wal-Mart store in Magnolia, AR at $2.649. I filled up today at Wal-Mart in Texarkana, AR at $2. 289. Quite a reduction in a 24 hour period. Does this reflect prices in other areas? Dan

I paid $283.9 for regular today and that price is down from $302.9 a week ago. This is the cheapest station in our town. Other stations are still over 3-bucks. :o
Then came Bronson

Prices in Laurel Highlands of PA are fairly consistant at $2.299 for regular. I'm glad the prices dropped now that we're bringing the camper home for the winter.

We are quite happy here..   I guess a few months of sustained high prices can make anything that was outrageous a year ago, seem like Manna from heaven today.

Friday morning gas his $1.019/litre or $3.912916 Cdn/US gal. I was glad and happily filled up my tank... well happy :D when it comes to fuel is a relative term.

Friday afternoon at around 1pm AST, gas broke the $1.00/litre barrier.. and fell to $0.999/litre or $3.83616 Cdn/US gal. So that would make it about $3.26 US/US gallon. An improvement over the highs of just a few weeks ago.

I think what has happened is the the brokers have seen the previews for Disney's new movie - Chicken Little    , and realized what dunces :!: :D they are for fearing the Sky Is Falling and driving prices through the roof.

Personally, I think it was a cash grab by the Petro giants... as is normal.
