Been building another box blade since giving the other one to Cole. Think this one will be a fast hitch. Milled an angle on both cutting edges to look a little more realistic, bolted them on with 4-40 flat head screws then fired up the tig welder.

As always, you're doing a great job!

Nice of your friend to drop those IH toys off to your son. That's a friend indeed. :tractor:

Hitch is on. I added the little piece on the bottom of this one like a true IH fast hitch prong.

That would be neat, it would be very tough as well. I know some people make stuff like that and it amazes me how they do it. Making these small things is a challenge enough for me.....for now

Coming home from work today and my alternator went out. I been hearing a whine, I thought it was the power steering pump going out. It sounded like a Ford but it’s a GMC Sonoma. Well today I found out it wasn’t the pump whining but the alternator. About half way home it got louder then really quiet and the steering kept working. Smoke started coming inside so I called my wife and ask her to get the hose hooked up I’d be home soon and didn’t know how bad it was. The belt got so hot before it came off it melted the plastic bypass pulley for the A/C I put on when it went out last year. The belt was wrapped around the fan and is hard as a rock. This picture of the alternator is after she sprayed it, another minute or two and the flames would have gotten worse. It’s a 1993 model with 149K mikes. She’s still got some life in her.

I was about 3 miles from home when it went out, I didn’t want to have to drag it home, I’m not 100% sure if I have a fire extinguisher in the toolbox, and we only paid $600 for it three years ago
