Postby SONNY » Tue Apr 23, 2013 9:24 pm

Just got started planting onion plants again--(too wet,-BUT)--- it got wetter!!! rain most of the day and got heavy enough that I had to quit!
Wheat/hulless oats/barley are up and lookin good---the onion plants that are planted are greening up!!
did get rain barrel and holding tank set up and so far have around 700 gallons in the holding tank!
Still no taters!!---dont even have the seed spuds!---they gonna be L-A-T-E this year from the looks of things!!! this is getting to be a late cold wet year here!---actually more of a normal start for this area!---last year early start was a freak year for us!

How are you guys doin on your end???? thanks; sonny

Wet, cold, wet, hot, wet, hard freeze, wet, hot, wet, hard freeze tonight. Gonna be a late spring. Still haven't tilled the garden plot. Did move some strawberry plants around today to straighten up the rows in the ankle deep mud.

Nothing in the ground except for a short row of radish.

Gonna buy some tomato plants tomorrow and mud them in since tonight is the last freeze in the 10 day weather forecast.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Got another inch of rain yesterday. Very little corn planted, last year at this time 50% of corn was in the ground. More rain forecasted for today, then warmer weather coming.
