It finely happened

Postby 64/67lo-boy » Mon Apr 28, 2014 6:24 pm

Got home from the fest safe and sound and on sunday decided to cut some grass. The fan belt broke half way through the cutting so I was close to the house. I pulled it into the yard and shut it down. All my tractors have non presure radiator caps. I wanted to see how much coolant was still in the radiator.
Well I forgot that I had replaced the cap on this perticular tractor. I removed the cap and antifreeze shot out. I was wearing a carhart jacket and it went right up my sleve.

Pete, better to take it on the arm than in the face. Not much worse than the pain from a burn--heal fast!

I'm always grateful when a person admits having done something that we all may have done/might do, so that someone might avoid a similar fate!! A good reminder. Sorry about your arm, but thanks for the post!

Sorry to hear that. I also did that....once. I still put a rag over the cap even when I know it's not hot. Grump
