Mike,
Don't breathe too deep for a while, and stay away from folks who make you laugh :(
Look at the pics and we don't need another performance :!:
I suspect you have already said "Thank You!"
G'luck on the recovery.

Larry

I'm real sorry to hear of your accident, Mike! These things happen so fast! I know that you try very hard to be a careful operator, so this is a lesson to all, that it can happen to any of us, when we least expect it. Take it easy & get well soon.

Glad ya made it, could have been much worse........ The pic helps others relize that a hill does not need to very big to tip a Cub or even a Lo Boy, I had a near flip with my Lo Boy on hill that was so darn small I never even consider it a hazard :o  ........

Thanks for the wake up and a speedy recovery to you

Get Well soon Mike. Like Gary stated
so this is a lesson to all, that it can happen to any of us, when we least expect it.
If this happened to a guy as level headed as yourself, it can happen to any one of us. We're all THANKFULL you're still able to tell the story.

Rick

Mike sorry to hear about your accident. Glad you okay or should I say will be okay. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Thanks for the story and the picture most of all. It will serve as a reminder to all of us what can happen regardless of how careful we try to be.

I'm going to show it to my (nothing can happen to me) 20 year old. I can't seem to get it across to him that all three of our tractors have common and individual hazards associated with their operation. After he reads your story and sees the picture he might understand what my dad told me when I was learning to drive. I had a little incident on the farm in an old truck we had and he told me "son you just don't realize what kind of power you have underneath you when your behind that steering wheel".

Reminds me of what Mark Twain said. When he was 14 he thought his daddy was the biggest ignoramus in the world. When he reached the age of 21 he realized just how much his dad had learned in 7 years.

My son has realized that I have learned a few things in the past six years, but I've still got a little bit to go on the 7th year.

Share Mike's story and picture with your young folks out there.

Feeling much better today :D ALL of my pains are much, much better :D I think this is the first time I've been recipient of "forum thoughts and prayers". I'm a believer :!: :big smile:

Thank you all. Now I know why Dennis added that "Friends button".

I'm glad this has made an impression on so many. It certainly has given me much to think about for the last five days, mostly what could have happened here if the Cub had rolled another quarter turn.

Dennis, maybe just move this post over to the Safety Forum ?

Thanks again Friends :)

Mike, so sorry to read about your scary accident.

I'm not a farmer and I have very limited experience with Cubs. Your story sends a chill down my spine! All our affection and attention to our Cubs, it seems, does nothing to ward off such misery. You are a pro in my eyes, but mishaps occur to us all. Your sharing this painful "wrinkle in time" with all of us, gives me pause and much to think about ... as so many have so aptly put it.

I send my wishes for your speedy recovery.

Kit
