Bad Accident

I'm still in shock and hurting, but very thankful that I'm still alive.

Last Monday I rolled over on my Cub lowboy while discing. It was very easy to do. While discing up a hill I made my turn (left) around a small tree. The Cub slid into the tree on the left side, jamming the governor wide open and with the left rear tire against the tree. The tire started up the tree and tipped us over on the downhill side. Rolled over one and one quarter turns down hill (thank God not one and one half).

I am lucky to be able to write this post today. broken ribs, broken collar bone, separated shoulder but my neck survived somehow.

When I recall it, as i have every five minutes since, I get a little sick.

Be careful.

Wow, Mike, that is scary and certainly glad you weren't hurt any worse. The broken ribs are hurt enough though, IMO. They don't seem to hurt unless you breath or move, been there, done that. The Cubs are oh so much fun, but on the other hand, a little dangerous as with any other powered equipment. I try and think ahead, as I am sure you did, and if something makes me a little uneasy, I won't do it on a Cub. Good luck with the healing process. Pete

A terrible thing to be involved with -- glad you didn't get hurt worse than you did...

A reminder to all of us of the simple tasks that we do that can go terribely wrong.

Mike,

Like the others, I'm very sorry to hear of your accident. My prayers now will be for the Lord to keep you from coughing until you're mended. Coughs and busted ribs don't go together well. It looks like your Cub made out better than you did.
