No. There are two pucks in a bracket, mounted on the rear of the fly wheel. When you step on the clutch the pucks engage, stop the flywheel.

The pucks are called "Lining Assy, Brake 2". Part # 404 642 R1.

The bracket holding the pucks may need to be adjusted. If the pucks are worn out, contact HamiltonBobs, advertiser on this site.

Edit. You need to remove the sheet metal panel in front of the seat. Service manual will tell you how to adjust and/or install new pucks.
I have an excuse. CRS.

I throtle down my RPMs push the clutch all the way down. this disengages the clutch and applys the clutch break to the back of the flywheel on the transmision to stop it from rotating so you can shift gears. its hard to stop that flywheel if you dont slow down your engine.

Like Eugene said The buttons/ Pucks could be worn or needing adjusting. They are not 2 inch. the 2 in the quote refers to quantity required.
The pucks are called "Lining Assy, Brake 2". Part # 404 642 R1.

You also have a bushing in the trans flywheel that the drive shaft goes into. this could be gauled or needing some lube to alow it to spin free from the drive shaft rotation.
