154 cub clutch pilot bushing lubrication?

Postby haulin bass » Mon Jul 10, 2017 12:08 pm

Hi all
Replacing the pilot bushing on my 154 as it was very sloppy. Do you lubricate this brass bushing with anything after or before installation

Thx

Kerry

You could soak the bushing in light weight oil before installation or wipe the inside of the installed bushing with light weigh oil. Cheap grease also works.
I have an excuse. CRS.

I use a light coat of white lube. Remember to lightly lubeiplate the clutch splines too. This is a high temp grease.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.
