How long between shut offs? Have you checked fuel flow?

Fuel flow problem. If the coil were at fault, the engine would not restart until the coil cooled off, an hour or more.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Sounds like fuel prob like they say. Does it have some type of fuel filter? If so remove it. Sediment bowl clean and no water in it? If tractor is getting really hot possible vapor lock but I doubt it. Possible dirt in carb. Not a hard job to remove and clean carb. If it is a zenith you can remove the plug at the bottom right of the carb and make sure good fuel flow and clean the main jet. It takes a 1/2" wrench. When it starts to die pull the choke and see if it stops it from dying.

Larry has it pegged!!!----If it's not an ignition then it's fuel.
Two years ago my 185 did the same thing and I had to fight with some slivers getting down into the main jet!---Finally got that mess cleaned out and it has not bothered since.---they real picky on the carb because they have such a small hole in the jet.---takes only a hair size sliver to kill them! thanks; sonny

Is the gas cap vented properly?

Pull the carb. Disassemble it, pull the jets and check for dirt, pebbles, check where the inlet fitting is too. Something is moving in your fuel system.

When mine was stalling I pulled the gas hose off the carb, I had no gas flowing, I blew in the gas hose as hard as I could and heard a pop in the gas tank. I had a pebble above the gas valve in the hole were the gas enters it.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

Also check for debris or flakes of rust in gas tank that could be covering fuel outlet.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
