No deck lift on 184 Lo-Boy

Postby fordyford » Thu Jun 16, 2016 8:22 pm

I have gradually lost the lift pressure on my 184 Lo-Boy/3160 mower. Trans fluid level is good. Is the only way to check the pump, valve and cylinder to crack open the lines, one by one? Thanks!
Some of my ancestors mighta hanged by their necks, but none of them ever hanged by their tails.

Service manual shows only one test for checking the hydraulic system. Involves adding a 3000 psi gauge to the hydraulic system at a T fitting under the frame top cover.

Says that if the system does not build up pressure the circuit relief valve or pump is at fault.
I have an excuse. CRS.
