Fan belt size
Anyone know the size of the fan belt for a 184? I bought a 3v475 (3/8" x 47.5") but it seems really tight trying to put it on. I can't see it needing to be much bigger though. Maybe it will stretch?

Re: Fan belt size
Maybe false alarm... got the belt on and it seems to be OK. Alternator is a little closer to the fan pulley than I would have expected, but it works.

Re: Fan belt size
Here's the IH OEM part number from Parts Catalogue TC131 for a 154, it might be the same.

Re: Fan belt size
It probably is the same, that's the part# I used to get the belt size, but further searching has different sizes associated with it.

Shows .44 x 48.57 https://www.vbeltguys.com/products/5276 ... ive-v-belt
Regardless, both of these are less than I paid at NAPA. I could see the extra inch being helpful and 3/8" did seem a bit narrow.
The old one was stretched so bad it was barely turning the alternator and the battery was getting low, started dying at idle... and now I'm going to need a lower radiator hose thanks the belt rubbing on it.
