Welcome to the forum. You probably have a bad woodruf key or keyway or both, Ref numbers 8 and 10. Click on the picture to make it larger. To view the parts manual, Select the ENG 1 Rev 20 12-75 Manual from the top of this page, Last folder (Tractor Parts Manuals) and download the manual. This link should take you there. http://www.farmallcub.com/[ Sorry, direct links to manual section is not allowed. ]/downloa ... %20OCR.pdf Stan

Yep, you have a woodruff key sheared off. I've seen several of them on lo boys. Unfortunately, it takes a little patients to fix it. You will likely need to get the next bigger size key and hand file both the crank and the pulley to fix it, if you haven't already worn both key ways out completely. I had one that I actually welded the key way on the crank then filed it back to original size. It's a tedious little job so plan for a whole day.

If you don't fix it, eventually it will completely wear out the pulley and you'll have to get a new pulley. You'll figure this out when you go to start it one day and it won't turn over the engine.
