154 steering box supports

Postby Salty » Mon Sep 14, 2015 12:25 pm

My 154 has had some creative welding done and the steering box doesn't fit right. Trying to figure out what it's supposed to look like, from the manuals I know I'm missing a bracket that goes to the left side of the frame, but apparently there is supposed to be another support from the right side welded to the frame that I can't fine much info on.

Here's what mine looks like, if anyone could post a picture of what it should look like maybe I can figure out a solution.

Hmm, well I guess nobody has their steering box mounted correctly. Got some parts from Hamilton Bobs, will see if they bolt up.

In my case it would be inconvenient and time consuming to take photos of the steering sector. I would have to dismount the mower deck, crawl under the tractor to take photos, then remount the mower deck. Being elderly, I have to have my son help remove and install the mower decks.
I have an excuse. CRS.
