154 Hydraulic filter ID & system service

Postby staninlowerAL » Sun Jun 21, 2015 7:01 pm

I cannot locate the part number for the hydraulic filter in the parts manual TC37F Rev. 6 8-79 or owners manual R3, 11-73. I did find the service interval and the lubrication guide and specs in the owners manual. Anyone know where this part number information is located/filter number? Thanks, Stan
EDIT: I found a reference in TC131, Sect. F for part number 404 886 R1. My Tractor SN is 24033 (1972).

Several years ago I picked up the hydraulic filter from my local auto parts store, Federated affiliated. Told the old guy behind the counter what I wanted. He just walked into the supply room and returned with the filter.

Have you checked the old filter for brand name and number?
I have an excuse. CRS.

Unless there is some ID information stamped into the metal, there is no information left on the outside, all markings are rusted beyond recognition.
