154 steering wheel
New to the forum. I have been trying to get the steering wheel off the tractor so that I can run a new wiring harness. Are there any tips to doing this without breaking it? This thing is really stuck on there,..

Re: 154 steering wheel
Unsnap the decorative cap in the center of steering wheel.
Loosen the nut in the center of the steering wheel. Back the nut out to the end (flush) with the steering column.
Soak the steering wheel and column with solvent for several days.
Small piece of 2 x 4 laid on the nut and a big hammer.
Knees under the steering wheel and press up hard on the steering wheel. Bang hard on the piece of 2 x 4.
If that doesn't work - gear splitter.

Re: 154 steering wheel
If all else fails, if you remove the gas tank you can get pretty good access to the back of the panel

Thanks, I think I'll try removing the gas tank. The gear puller wasn't doing anything.
