How many sets of needle bearings are used in the end of pto shaft

Mine only had 1 needle bearing for the pilot end of the shaft if I remember right.---I had it apart several times to re-adjust things in the unit! thanks; sonny

My 154 had two needle bearings.

276 574 R91. Bearing. PTO Idler shaft, needle -2-

Need a parts manual, service manual, and operator's manual?

WAS THESE CAGED NEEDLE BEARINGS AND DO BOTH OF THEM GO INTO THE END OF THE SHAFT

Yes and Yes.

You need to disassemble before ordering parts to see exactly what you have.

My 154 had two caged needle bearings. The first one was bad, second was still good.

Check inside to see if there isn't two bearings.

How to remove? It's been a while. I think you can drive out the bearing from the back side of the cup. I don't recall a difficulty if removing the bearings, but I completely dissembled the PTO when I did the repairs.

I finally got back on my pto project and i did find the other bearing down in the very bottom of shaft===it looks impossible to replace it---= it looks good from what i can tell, so i will just replace the outer one.Thanks for your help
