Hydraulic control switch

Postby GreaseMnky85 » Sun Jul 06, 2014 8:16 pm

Hi everyone i just bought my first cub lo boy 185. Has anyone disassembled the switch? Mine seems to be frozen. I have ordered a can of Kroil but it will be a few days before I get it. In the mean time I have used Deep Creep by sea foam and PB. I put a bolt and washer on and still haven't been able to get it freed up. Seems to be a pretty nice tractor. I need a throttle cable for it and I had to adjust the clutch other than that pretty good shape for $600 I thought. Looking forward to learning more about these tractors.

If the switch you are talking about is the ignition switch, local auto parts store for a replacement, less than $5-.

Throttle cable, auto parts store or Case IH dealership.

Pick up an Operator's Manual, Parts Manual, and Service Manual. They are available from the advertisers on this board, "The Vine".
I have an excuse. CRS.

I'd wait for your can of Kroil to show up!! I had one a few years ago that I was certain I would have to take it apart. I soaked it with Kroil about one time every other day for about 2 weeks, giving it a try up/down each time I sprayed it. All of the sudden, she popped up one day when I pulled on it, and worked perfect. I'm not sure there's anything to take apart to disassemble one, as I believe the little valve assembly is sealed together. So, give the Kroil a shot before you go tearing into it!!
