After getting the chopper hooked on and running I headed out to the hayfield ( side yard) to chop 18" tall never mowed grass/weeds and dump it in the compost pile.--the chopper could use more vacuum but it works as long as the grass is dry.----for regular mowing it would be ok.
I have to run in L-1 so the suction can keep up with the Woods 59 mower output,---and yes the tractor has plenty of power to cut tall stuff.--I super tuned the engine last year with a couple of my ideas and got a lot more power than regular engine. thanks; sonny
here is the video that Virginia took to prove my claim.

Re: 185 video
My 185 has 6 speeds----3 in low range and 3 in high range.---If you run just a vac. unit and not the hammermill type (as I have) it will handle cut stuff better because they have a much wider fan blade area.this one reduces volume of grass/weeds/leaves/etc. either 10 or 20 percent meaning longer mow time,--less time dumping,--but when you do dump,---ITS PACKED in there and heavy! ( I had a nice one that was stolen from me many years ago ) that would have allowed much higher mowing speed ans if you mow regular lawns with it you could book right along without slower gears.
The more hp from the engine comes from modifications that certain members on this forum really frown on doing to a cub!!!--LOL!! thanks; sonny
