One more Mower Question...

Postby Andrew Z » Thu Mar 06, 2014 1:17 pm

Does anyone know what parts are different for a woods mid-mount regarding a Farmall and a 154? Or are these totally different animals?

thanks
Andrew

Actually, all of the deck parts (spindles, bearings, blades, etc.,) are the same. The mounting hardware is different, but that's about it.

All mounting brackets and the belt guides are all different---decks are same! I just changed one from standard cub to 185 and you gotta use all the 154/185 stuff to get to work---also have to have rear wheel spacers to move wheels out about 1" on each side.---you can make these your self if you have access to big drill press and can get the big center hole cut, (I used torch for that) thanks; sonny

Do you have the dimensions or a drawing of the spacers? I would like to fabricate a set.

they look like big thick washers and can be cut from 1" thick steel then drill the right size bolt holes,--don't get fancy because nobody is going to see them back in there! thanks; sonny
