154 Serial # plate is unreadable?

is there any other place that has the #? I have an engine #265983....if that helps?

Casting date codes can be useful to date roughly the age of your Cub. I am not sure about the tinwork. How bad is the serial # tag? Can you wipe it clean and then rub graphite into the stamping? If so then that would bring out the serial number.

Engine serial number places the tractor in the year 1969 - - providing the engine has not been replaced. The Operator's Manual only shows serial numbers on the tractor serial number plate and engine serial number.

Thanks, tried every trick I could think of, but several #'s, including the first, are gone forever. Doesn't matter, I guess, just being stubborn :lol:
