Farmall Cub

I know, another question. Ok I'm new here but I've been an IH man for 40 years.
Hear me out please.
The Farmall Cubs have a 6 1/2" traction clutch.
The 154, 184, 185s have 5 1/2". Why and will a
6 1/2" Cub Clutch fit the Lowboy tractors?

The Farmall Cub has a 6-1/2" clutch; but, the PTO load runs thru the transmission and the main clutch/pressure plate assembly.

The numbered LoBoys have a 5-1/2" clutch; but, the PTO load is pulled off the engine before the main clutch/pressure plate assembly.

This probably why the IH engineers decided that a smaller clutch was adequate for use in the numbered LoBoys.

It might be possible to adapt the larger clutch to the 154 & 185, I'm not sure what you might get into there, it could be as simple as redrilling the flywheel but it may not be big enough to do that. It definately will not work in a 184! The 184 requires a special pressure plate with integral pulleys to drive the PTO.
