Some assumptions here: You are working on a 154/185/184
The PTO clutch and the driveshaft clutch are separate and can be worked on separately. (though it is convenient to do them at the same time)

hello Steve, the 154 is a great machine, with a few design flaws. The main clutch and pto are the weaker links. With proper adjustments and maintenance, you can have a reliable working unit. If you have a service manual, that would be great. Parts for the main clutch are available new or used. Pto parts are available new,but a bit on the $$ side. My 154 pto parts $ 210.00 & main clutch and machine work $ 300.00 Check with Messics for new parts or Hamilton Bob for good used parts. let us know what issues you are having such as> loose clutch flywheel, worn input shaft, noisy pto , ect... pictures are good also.

Depending on what you need in the pto clutch,---anywhere from a $260 kit (from IH) (and it does NOT contain all needed parts)---if you need the bell, that adds another $400 to the price, a new clutch unit is around $650,--PLUS the bell if needed at $400,---so if yours is still working,--drive it til' it scatters, then do the fix at that time!---my 185 is still broke! thanks; sonny
