154 loboy engine

Postby JGtools » Thu Dec 17, 2009 8:52 pm

I have removed the engine from the 154 loboy, and have it hanging from over head hoist, before I attatch it to engine stand, I was wondering about removing the flywheel first, as I will be replacing rear crank seal, and probably a complete overhaul, will know more once I get inside the engine. There are 4 bolts holding flywheel on, do I remove the 4 bolts, and what kind of puller will I need. This will be my first time working on a engine of this kind. thanks,Jim

Jim
Remove the 4 bolts, and you will not need a puller. Tap gengly with a hammer while pulling outward.
Good luck with the overhaul!
