Setting up the PTO Clutch
Ok i'm looking at the manual on the PTO clutch and it states that when released the clutch stack outside measurement is .050" larger than when its compressed. I also believe it states using a torque wrench at the end of the PTO shaft we should get 50ft.lbs. when we drag the pto shaft thru the clutches with the clutch engaged. To my understanding the way i'm reading it, is this correct???
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

Re: Setting up the PTO Clutch
BigBill,
The .050 measured at the clutch is an adjustment of the clutch pack. The 50 ft lbs is the adjustment of tightness for the twin drive belts.

Re: Setting up the PTO Clutch
I believe the 50 ft-lbs is the clutch slippage load not the belts.
