My neighbor brought me his 154 to work on. He is complaining that it will not turn over, and is not charging. I have torn into it, and the battery cables are junk. I am in the process of putting on new cables. I also thing that the solinoid is bad (it is definately not the right one). I am going to put a new one of those on as well. Now for the questions
1. What kind/ size of battery does this beast take? Safe to assume negative ground?
2. What air filter? (Old one covered in mud daubers)
3. Where are the timing marks?

Re: A couple of 154 questions.
Well, I think I have most of those problems fixed. Now the only problem I have is in the wiring. No hot wire going to the switch.
